Du 6 au 12 avril 2026, le Conseil exécutif de la Cevaa s’est tenu à son siège à Montpellier. Ce fut l’occasion pour la Dre Mathilde Guidimti et son assistant Sonny Bardot de présenter un bilan enthousiaste du programme Solidarité Santé, et de l’avancement des projets initiés l’an dernier. C’est ainsi que les financements de la Cevaa, amorcés en automne 2025, se traduisent par des réalisations concrètes sur le terrain.
Ils ont mis en lumière la mise en œuvre de plusieurs infrastructures et équipements majeurs :
- La construction de salles d’hospitalisation payantes de l’Hôpital Protestant Garoua Boulai (Cameroun) dont les fondations de 4 salles ont été posées.
- L’achat et l’installation d’une station d’extraction de l’Hôpital Méthodiste de Dabou (Côte d’Ivoire) dont les travaux préliminaires de la salle et des conduits ont été réalisés.
- La rénovation du bloc opératoire de l’hôpital de Kirinda (Rwanda) qui est déjà exécutée à hauteur de 80%
- L’achat des équipements de l’Hôpital Protestant du Bon Samaritain (Bénin) dont un appel d’offres a été effectué.
- L’achat d’équipements de la salle opératoire de Scott Memorial Hospital (Lesotho).
- L’achat du matériel d’hémodialyse pour l’Hôpital Bethesda d’Agou Nyogbo (Togo)
Mais la mission de la Dre Guidimti ne se limite pas au suivi budgétaire. Elle joue un rôle important dans la restructuration et l’accompagnement stratégique des établissements. À l’hôpital Bethesda d’Agou Nyogbo, de nouveaux objectifs ont été redéfinis en étroite collaboration avec la direction. Elle a également accompagné l’hôpital protestant de Garoua Boulai dans sa réflexion sur l’acquisition de matériel de monitoring pour renforcer les capacités de son service des urgences nouvellement créé.
Pour renforcer les liens au sein de ce réseau international animé par la foi et la santé, le PSS a lancé une nouvelle stratégie de communication. Après l’achat d’autocollants et la traduction en français des supports de présentation, la nouveauté majeure est le lancement de la Newsletter PSS. Cette initiative vise à mieux impliquer tous les acteurs du réseau.
Ainsi, l’année 2026 s’annonce riche en événements. La Dre Guidimti a dévoilé le calendrier : plusieurs sessions de formation en ligne pour les aumôniers du réseau, assurées par le pasteur Victor Adzra (aumônier national de l’EPUdF), débuteront dès cet automne. Nous avons également défini les grandes lignes d’un séminaire en fin d’année qui réunira le personnel administratif hospitalier du PSS pour un renforcement des capacités dans la gestion financière.
Progress Report and Prospects of the PSS at the Cevaa Executive Council
The Cevaa Executive Council met at its headquarters, located within the Protestant Institute of Theology in Montpellier, from April 6 to 12, 2026. This gathering provided the opportunity for Dr. Mathilde Guidimti and her assistant, Sonny Bardot, to present an enthusiastic review of the Solidarity Health (Programme Solidarité Santé – PSS) program and the progress of projects initiated last year. Consequently, the funding launched by Cevaa in autumn 2025 has translated into concrete achievements on the ground.
They highlighted the implementation of several major infrastructure and equipment projects:
- The construction of paid hospital wards at the Protestant Hospital Garoua Boulai (Cameroon), where foundations for four rooms have been laid.
- The purchase and installation of an extraction station at the Methodist Hospital of Dabou (Côte d’Ivoire), with preliminary work on the room and ducts completed.
- The renovation of the operating block at Kirinda Hospital (Rwanda), which is already 80% complete.
- The purchase of equipment for the Protestant Hospital of the Good Samaritan (Benin), for which a tender call has been issued.
- The purchase of operating room equipment for Scott Memorial Hospital (Lesotho).
- The purchase of hemodialysis equipment for Bethesda Hospital in Agou Nyogbo (Togo).
However, Dr. Guidimti’s mission extends beyond budget monitoring. She plays a crucial role in the restructuring and strategic support of these institutions. At Bethesda Hospital in Agou Nyogbo, new objectives were redefined in close collaboration with the management. She also supported the Protestant Hospital of Garoua Boulai in its reflection regarding the acquisition of monitoring equipment to strengthen the capacities of its newly created emergency department.
To strengthen ties within this international network animated by faith and health, the PSS has launched a new communication strategy. Following the purchase of stickers and the translation of presentation materials into French, the major innovation is the launch of the PSS Newsletter This initiative aims to better engage all actors within the network.
Thus, the year 2026 promises to be rich in events. Dr. Guidimti unveiled the schedule: several online training sessions for chaplains in the network, led by Pastor Victor Adzra (National Chaplain of the EPUdF), will begin this autumn. We have also outlined the main lines of a seminar at the end of the year, which will bring together the hospital administrative staff of the PSS for capacity building in financial management.
